Everybody, Back to Ours! Featured in the recently released London Indie Coffee Guide, we’re an independent specialty coffee shop in Leytonstone E11, set inside an old Victorian-era orphanage that’s also home to creative studios and a co-working space. Inspired by our origins in Melbourne, we pride ourselves on doing the simple things exceptionally well: great coffee, great service and delicious sourdough & pastries in a space that makes the best of what we love accessible to everyone.

We’re looking for a Barista with excellent coffee, latte art and service skills to join our team 3-4 days a week, available to work one or both weekend days. As well as beverage prep, you will be responsible for prepping and facilitating food orders and helping create an environment that makes the shop a clean, warm, welcoming place to be.

You’ll be working with Assembly on a La Marzocco Linea PB ABR, alongside Mahlkönig grinders. We feature rotating guest roasters on filter. SCA certified training is paid, lunch is free on-shift, coffee is free always, and there’s a 30% staff discount on retail. Working in a startup business launched last April, you will have a broad scope to expand your remit and grow as we grow.

Sound good? Here are the boring bits…

  • Salary dependent on experience, but always in excess of London living wage

  • Day off on your birthday and 28 days annual leave per FTE calendar year

  • 3 month probationary period

We think cover letters are kind of overrated. Instead, please can you supply us with an up-to-date CV and short answers to the following questions:

  • What made the best place you have worked, the best place you have worked? No need to name names.

  • What are you looking for in your next role (or this one, assuming we’re it)?

  • Where do you live, and are you able to travel to Leytonstone for early morning shifts (and early finishes)? We’re open 7 days, from 7.30am weekdays, 8am weekends and close to both overground and underground (Central line) stations.

  • Do you have the right to live and work in the UK?

We hire for personality and team fit first and work hard to create a positive working environment. Diversity, equality, and inclusion are central to who we are.
