This is an exciting opportunity to be the first and therefore most critical hire for a new coffee concept with own brand RTD range. Vision • Launch and expand multiple coffee outposts offering high-grade coffee and functional drinks with an innovative service model. • Establish a leading coffee brand backed by a thoughtful, sustainable supply chain. • Develop an extensive Ready-to-Drink (RTD) range for retail distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site Expansion & Strategy: • Lead the strategic planning and execution of new site openings, including location selection, layout design, and resource allocation. • Drive the scale-up of the brand, ensuring smooth and efficient site expansions. Operational Scalability: • Develop and implement operational systems and processes that ensure consistency and efficiency across all locations. • Establish clear performance metrics and refine processes to improve workflow and service speed. Leadership & Team Development: • Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, creating a culture of engagement, accountability, and growth. • Foster a positive work environment and strong store culture across multiple locations. • Ensure teams are well-trained and set up for success through hands-on coaching and structured development plans. Financial Accountability & Performance Analysis: • Take full P&L ownership, managing budgets, sales, labour costs, and profitability. • Use data-driven insights to optimize revenue, improve operational efficiency, and reduce waste. Brand Development & Customer Experience: • Ensure consistent brand experience and exceptional customer service across all outposts. • Set and maintain high standards of hospitality and service, continuously improving the customer journey. • Lead initiatives to drive customer engagement and brand loyalty, making every outpost a neighbourhood go-to. Supply Chain & Inventory Management: • Oversee the supply chain logistics for multi-site operations, ensuring cost-effective inventory management and strong supplier relationships. Health & Safety & Compliance: • Ensure all locations comply with food safety, health, and safety regulations. • Establish and maintain operational excellence with a focus on safety and compliance. Reporting & Communication: • Provide regular performance reports to the founder and leadership team to ensure alignment on strategic goals and progress.
Requirements/Desirables:
• Extensive experience in the coffee industry, including high street brands and specialty-grade houses. • Proven track record as a competition-winning barista. • Strong management experience and leadership skills in the F&B or coffee industry. • In-depth understanding of the economics of coffee and financial acumen in running an F&B business. • Experience in setting and implementing business and personnel KPIs. • A ‘can-do’ attitude, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and dive into operations when needed.
