Job Description - Café Manager/Mixologist

The Role
As part of a store redesign and relaunch in September 2024, KOIBIRD are looking for an experienced and passionate Mixologist/Café Manager to lead the opening of this new café concept focused on health & wellness within their retail store. KOIBIRD has been working with a renowned practice – Euchronia Architects based in Paris to help reimagine the store. The ideal candidate will exhibit values based on our KOIBIRD ethos – Never Boring!
Main Duties
• Manage day-to-day operations of the café. • Demonstrate innovative skills in creating new menu items that reflect changing trends and seasons. • Show passion about Health and Wellness and inspire the team café team and the wider KOIBIRD team. • Hire and onboard new staff. • Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of equipment within the Cafe. • Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, tea, milk and other ingredients) • Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses • Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences (for example vegan coffee drinks) • Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service • Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy. • Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation. • Supporting the KOIBIRD Social Media Manager to interact directly with our customers through positive, engaging and creative KOI Café content - promoting our unique concept, new drinks, etc.

• A hospitality professional who has a passion for health & wellness. • Trained Mixologist / Barista who has a creative flair and enjoys developing new drinks and has a passion for it. • A confident & vibrant personality who thrives in the buzz of service. • Passionate about detailed hospitality, guest experience and dedicated to exceptionally high standards of service. The ideal candidate will inspire this commitment in others. • Must have the right to work in the UK.
