MISSION:

Our Café Manager will treat the Rude Health Café as if it’s their own and run the café with passion and entrepreneurship…delivering an amazing ‘in Rude Health’ experience for all Rude Health Café consumers, visitors and ‘passers-by’…fulfilling the three main objectives for the Café:

a). to be the best manifestation of our brilliant Rude Health brand b). to bring our mission and values to life via an engaging and energising cultural hub for our team c). to ‘break-even’ as commercial entity for the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate real entrepreneurship by leading and inspiring the Café team to achieve excellence in customer service and operational efficiency every day in every way.
  • Manage staff recruitment, retention and performance, including scheduling, training, fostering a positive, proactive, safe and productive work environment where the Rude Health values come to life.
  • Delight our customers with service, proactive attitude and quality control across all areas of the Café, from coffee brewing, food preparation & delivery to customer interactions and cleanliness / café environment.
  • Use your experience and new thoughts/creative strategies to establish the Café as the go-to coffee destination in the area and also fulfil Rude Health Café objectives.
  • Be fully responsible for day-to-day café operations; passionate about being at the ‘front of house’, making the best coffee in Fulham, food preparation, working with the team and serving customers.
  • Manage the stock efficiently, including ordering, stock level management and building close relationships with suppliers to ensure the cafe is well-equipped and cost-effective.
  • Monitor and review the sales and P&L, making appropriate adjustments and recommendations to ensure the profitability of the Café.
  • Be a “bridge” between the office and the Café Team, bringing our Rude Health values, strategy and mission to life in the Café…and providing the office team with relevant consumer feedback and product suggestions regularly.
  • Contribute and execute innovative ideas on menu development, events, and in-cafe experiences…including organising a food offer that is low input/margin sound/nourishing.
  • Ensure all Café documents are updated and the operation exceeds the required food safety, cleanliess and Health & Safety standards.

KEY SKILLS:

  • A passion for quality coffee, seasonal and sustainable food culture
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role across hospitality including speciality coffee & Front of House
  • Experience/imagination to organise a food offer that is low input/margin sound/nourishing
  • Think & Act Like a Founder / Entrepreneurship: ability to treat the Café like it’s their own; showing proactively and passion in making positive change to deliver breakthrough results

Cafe Opening Time: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 2:30pm (closed on Bank Holiday)

Salary: £28,000 per year + Bonus
