Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the café or hospitality industry and possess natural leadership skills. This is a hands-on management role, requiring someone who can inspire our team, bring fresh ideas, set high standards, and lead by example. The Café Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of a busy café, ensuring high-quality service, efficient operations, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Inspire, motivate, and lead a team of baristas and café staff.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily operations to ensure the café runs smoothly and efficiently.
    • Implement strategies to maximize efficiency and improve service delivery.
    • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Customer Service:
    • Maintain high standards of customer service and handle customer feedback effectively.
    • Ensure the café provides a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
    • Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Financial Management:
    • Manage budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets.
    • Analyze sales and financial data to improve profitability.
    • Implement strategies to drive sales and achieve budget criteria.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure the quality of coffee, food, and service meets Ground Coffee Society’s standards.
    • Regularly review and update menus, considering customer preferences and trends.
    • Maintain inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement business strategies to enhance café performance.
    • Identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align café operations with overall business goals.

  • Extensive experience in café or hospitality management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
  • Experience in food hygiene management and compliance.
